William and Kate Join In Farewell to RAF Search and Rescue Division
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to their former home of Anglesey in Wales today, to attend a ceremony marking the end of the RAF Search and Rescue Force operations.
They joined former servicemen and women who served in Search and Rescue for a formal disbandment ceremony before heading on to a reception where William – who was a member of the Search and Research Force for three years – and Kate spent time chatting with the Force members and their families.
One of William’s former instructors joked that the Prince had “lost a bit more hair” since the last time he had seen him, and that William was not left out of the ‘gentle ribbing’ given to the team while he was on the job.
For the event, Kate wore a recycled red LK Bennett coat first worn in November 2011 during a visit to Denmark, brown pumps and a recycled brown felt Lock & Co. hat.
