Burglary At Dutch Royal Estate ‘De Horsten’

Newspaper De Telegraaf reveals that Princess Margarita of Bourbon-Parma has become the victim of a burglary. The Princess lives on the Royal Estate ‘De Horsten’ in Wassenaar with her husband Tjalling Ten Cate and their two daughters Julia and Paola . King Willem-Alexander and his family live in Villa Eikenhorst on the same estate.

The burglary happened a month ago. The thief was possibly looking for gold and diamonds as the princess told several times in the press that she has a workshop at home where she designs jewelry for her jewel collection ‘Leaves‘. However, she keeps no precious materials at home as the jewels are made in Antwerp.

One day after the burglary the police arrested a 21 y/o man from Nootdorp. He is still in prison. Neither the police nor a spokesman for the Bourbon-Parma family made any statements about what was stolen.
