Surprise Son for Princess Carolina, Marchioness of Sala

On December 18, it was unexpectedly announced that Princess Carolina, Marchioness of Sala and her husband Albert Brenninkmeijer had welcomed their second child, a little boy named Xavier Albert Alphons Brenninkmeijer in Zürich, Switzerland two days earlier.

Little Xavier is the younger brother of Alaïa-Maria, who was born on 20 May 2014, also in Zürich.

Princess Carolina is the youngest child of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and her late husband Prince Carlos Hugo, Duke of Parma. She married Albert Brenninkmeijer in a civil ceremony on 21 April 2012 at Wijk bij Duurstede in the Netherlands. On 16 June that same year, their religious ceremony took place at the San Miniato al Monte in Florence, Italy.
