Royals at International Red Cross Conference in Geneva
A number of royals have attended the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein, Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Crown Princess Margarita of Romania were all present for the opening of the conference, which sees delegations from the 190 International Federation of the Red Cross societies and countries which are Geneva Convention signatories come together to discuss what humanitarian efforts need to be done worldwide.
All four women are involved with their respective countries’ Red Cross organisations: Maria Teresa, Sophie and Margarita are Presidents, while Margriet is the Honorary Chairman.
