Victoria and Daniel In Peru: Day 1
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel had a busy start to their two day visit to Peru.
The first day started with attending the inauguration of a Nordic-Latin American Contact seminar at the University of Lima. The purpose of this was to promote university scholarships between Sweden and Peru. During the university visit, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel spoke to students and toured the University. The couple then visited H&M’s second-largest store which was opened in May 2015. During their visit to the store, they spoke to employees, toured the store and were briefed about the work operations in Peru.
Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel then met the President of Peru, Ollanta Humala, and his wife. They had a meeting with the President and a lunch was held in the couple’s honor.
In the afternoon, they toured the Museo Nacional de Arqueología Antropología, Peru’s largest and oldest museum.
In the evening, the couple attended a reception hosted by the Swedish Ambassador, Jakob Kiefer, at the Swedish Consulate General.
