Queen Margrethe Presents Queen Ingrid Research Prize
The Queen of Denmark has presented the Queen Ingrid Research Prize in a ceremony at Christian VII’s Palace, Amalienborg today.
Professor Søren Jacobsen, the head of rheumatology at Copenhagen University Hospital, was awarded the prize of 100,000DKK for his research and work with arthritis.
The prize is awarded as part of the Danish Rheumatism Association, of which Queen Ingrid was patron before Queen Margrethe, and is delivered annually on World Arthritis Day. It was established in 1978 to mark the 25th anniversary of Queen Ingrid’s patronage of the association.
