Princess Laurentien Attends National Water Savers Day
Today, Thursday September 3, Princess Laurentien attended the second edition of the National Water Savers Day in the Plein square in The Hague.
The purpose of the event is to teach children and their families how to save energy in their daily lifestyle at home like having a five minute shower instead of nine minutes.
During the event, the Princess along with other participants jumped roped for five minutes to show how long five minute is.
Also present at the event was Stef Blok, the Minister for Housing and the Central Government Sector.
Water Savers is a national movement that involves children, teachers and family and aims to encourage energy conservation to combat climate change. It is an initiative of the Missing Chapter Foundation, a foundation established in 2009 by Princess Laurentien.
