Norway’s Crown Prince and Princess Have A Busy Day In Trondheim

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Trondheim. During the visit, the royals had three engagements and the purpose of the visit was research and innovation.

The couple visited SINTEF Energy Lab where they attended the opening of the Foundation’s new energy laboratory. Prince Haakon gave the opening speech, they were then showed around the new facility and signed a plaque.

Crown Prince couple also visited the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU. During the visit, Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave a speech and the Crown Prince couple were showed around by the students.

The last stop in Trondheim was to Kavli Institute. Dressed in white lab coats, Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit were showed around the labs, visited what is called “rat hotel” and briefed on various experiments done on rats and mice zebrafish. During the visit, they were accompanied by professors May-Britt and Edvard Moser.
