Princess Beatrix Opens ‘Hidden Stories’ Exhibition At Amsterdam Royal Palace

Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands opened a new exhibition at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam today which focuses on stories of classical mythology.

“Hidden Stories: Discover the Myths of the Palace” is an exhibition which uses the paintings and sculptures that decorated the Palace in the seventeenth century to inform visitors about the “glorification of Amsterdam as a power centre of the world”.

The Princess watched a theatre performance specially written for the opening entitled ‘The Departure of Atlas’.
