Princess Madeleine Gives Birth To A Son
The Swedish Royal Court has just announced that Princess Madeleine has given birth to her second child, a son.
The infant was born today, June 15, at 13:45 local time in Stockholm. Both mother and child are doing well according to the press release.
Princess Madeleine gave birth at the Danderyd Hospital, her chosen place for delivery. It is likely she and her son will remain in hospital overnight.
A press conference with two of the midwives who assisted in the delivery just took place at the hospital, in which they confirmed the baby boy weighed 3080grams and was 49cm long. He apparently has a small amount of blonde hair. Chris O’Neill had tears of joy, the midwives said, as he cut the umbilical cord.
The newborn is the second child of Princess Madeleine and her husband, Christopher O’Neill. Their daughter, Princess Leonore, was born in February 2014.
