See You in 100 Days! Prince Harry Launches Rugby Cup Tour
As the Honorary President of England Rugby 2015, Prince Harry was today present at the launch of the 2015 Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour at Twickenham Stadium.
The Prince was joined by rugby legends Jonny Wilkinson and Will Greenwood for the launch. Harry gave a speech during the event, saying that “Rugby is a game built on values – respect, pride, team work and discipline. In 100 days’ time, England and Cardiff will play host to an incredible festival of rugby with the world’s best players, the world’s best teams and of course the world’s greatest fans demonstrating these values.”
“This tournament – the most significant moment in English Rugby since that night in Sydney in 2003 – has the ability to broaden the reach of the game and deliver a long lasting legacy for the sport,” he continued.
Harry also spent some time chatting with schoolchildren from Richmond and Hounslow who were invited to attend the launch and posed for several photos with them.
The trophy, known as the Webb Ellis Cup, will travel around the United Kingdom over the next 100 days, before returning to the stadium on September 18 for the opening ceremony of the World Cup.
