President of Paraguay Lunches With Spanish King
The President of Paraguay, Horacio Cartes Jara, is currently on an official visit to Spain, and he was guest of honour at a luncheon hosted by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia at the Royal Palace in Madrid today.
During the lunch, King Felipe delivered a speech in which he praised the current relationship between Spain and Paraguay, as well as Paraguay’s work in developing their nation, and said that the two countries must “seize the moment to push forward in strengthen our trade relations, increasing investment and promoting talent mobility.”
Earlier in the day, the King had an audience with President Cartes.
The President is in Europe to attend the summit between the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the European Union held in Brussels later this week.
