Swedish Royals Celebrate National Day
On June 6, the Swedish Royal Family celebrated the country’s National Day, which celebrates the election of King Gustav Vasa in 1523, as he is considered by the Swedish people to be “the foundation of modern Sweden”.

In the morning, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the county of Örebro, where they went to the county’s museum and toured the exhibition “Vi blir Örebro”. They later attended a citizenship ceremony at Örebro Castle and the celebrations for National Day in the castle’s park.
