Sophie Wessex Hosts Garden Party for Blind Veterans UK

After attending the Women’s Institute Centenary Meeting in the morning, the Countess of Wessex hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace to mark the 100th anniversary of another organisation, Blind Veterans UK.

Sophie, in an aquamarine blue dress and matching bolero jacket, met with a number of veterans from all areas of the armed forces that have been helped by the charity. Over 2,000 guests attended the garden party.

The Countess is patron of several charities that work to prevent avoidable blindness, and is a Global Ambassador for the International Agency for Preventative Blindness.
