Crown Princess Mary Presents Medals at Children’s Relay
Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary was in Aarhus today, where she attended the annual Free From Bullying children’s relay that is held in conjunction with her foundation.
The relay took place in the city’s Botanical Gardens and over 700 children aged 3-9 from the region ran or walked the one kilometre long route. Mary was joined by children’s TV host Bubber to start the relay, and was also on hand at the end to present participation medals to all the children.
Speaking with the press later on, the Crown Princess said that she was “incredibly happy” that “so many children, happy and ready, come to run against bullying.” The relay has been held annually in Copenhagen and Aarhus. The relay is an event developed by The Mary Foundation in collaboration with the Danish branch of Save the Children.
