Queen Silvia Attends Childhood Day Concert
The Queen of Sweden was today present at the concert held at the Gröna Lund amusement park on Djurgården to celebrate Childhood Day.
Ensuring she stood out in a fuchsia pink dress with matching jacket, Queen Silvia watched the concert from the front row alongside the CEO of Grona Luna, Magnus Widell, and the CEO of Parks and Resorts Scandinavia, Christer Fogelmarck. She then got on stage to give a short speech, in which she thanked performers Petter, Loreen, Hasse Andersson, Isa and Julia Kedhammar for participating in the concert.
As part of Childhood Day, all the park’s admission fees up until 4pm were donated to the World Childhood Foundation.
The World Childhood Foundation was started in 1999 by Queen Silvia to provide support and assistance to at risk children, with a focus on preventing sexual abuse, around the globe.
