Duke of Cambridge Holds Investiture at Windsor Castle
Prince William presented honours on behalf of the Queen during an investiture at Windsor Castle today.
Amongst those receiving honours were musician Brinsley Forde, of the reggae band Aswad, footballer Linvoy Primus and Dame Mary Peters, a former Olympic gold medalist in the pentathlon.
Mr Primus, who played for Portsmouth between 2000 and 2009, was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his work with the charity he started, Faith in Football and said that Prince William and he spoke about the upcoming FA Cup final between Aston Villa and Arsenal. “He said he’s looking forward to it,” Primus told reporters afterwards.
The Duke also revealed that his newborn daughter, Charlotte, is doing well, according to Mr Forde. “He said, ‘She’s fine, she’s good,'” Mr Forde said after he was created a MBE for services to the arts.
