British Royals Out In Force at the Chelsea Flower Show

As they do each year, members of the British Royal Family have visited the Royal Horticulture Society’s Chelsea Flower Show ahead of its official opening to the public tomorrow.

Prince Harry was on hand to show his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall the garden that has been created for Sentebale, his African charity.

“It’s fantastic. It’s everything I could have wished. This is our way of trying to bring a little bit of Lesotho to Chelsea,” the Prince had told BBC Breakfast earlier in the morning when he and the garden’s designer, Matt Keightley, gave an exclusive tour of the ‘Hope in Vulnerability’ garden. The garden is designed as a mini version of the Mamohato Centre Sentebale will be opening in Lesotho this year, to provide care and health education to HIV inflicted children.

Others who attended the pre-opening were the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Later in the afternoon, Peter and Zara Phillips showed up and toured the John Deere tractor stand.
