Harry Bids Adieu To New Zealand
Prince Harry has said farewell to New Zealand, completing his week-long tour of the country in Auckland today.
It was all about sport for the Prince, as he visited The Cloud where he played a game of 5-aside football with members of the Western Springs Football Club. The event was held in the lead-up to the FIFA under-20s World Cup beginning at the end of the month and hosted by New Zealand. Harry played on the side of ‘New Zealand’, who beat the ‘All Stars’ 8-7 in what was a tightly fought match that ended with the winning goal coming from the royal boot.
After a short walk-about outside The Cloud along the waterfront, Prince Harry was then off to the Millennium Institute of Sport where he met athletes and trainers at the High Performance Sport New Zealand national training centre. During his visit, Harry tried his hand at a few different activities – shooting a few netball goals, practising his rugby pass and trying out the weightlifting machine.
Prince Harry will be heading back to the UK later today.
