King of Sweden Opens New Exhibition at Solliden Palace
King Carl XVI Gustaf today opened the new summer exhibition at Solliden Palace on the island of Öland.
The exhibition is entitled “…Signed Bernadotte. Design and Watercolours by Sigvard and Michael Bernadotte” and showcases the design talent of the King’s late uncle, Count Sigvard Bernadotte af Wisborg, who died in 2002.
Count Sigvard’s son Michael, who is an architect, also has a few watercolour paintings in the exhibition.
Both Queen Silvia and Count Michael Bernadotte were also present for the event.
