Princess Marie Presents Danish UNESCO Scholarships
Princess Marie today was on hand to present scholarships to three female Danish researchers at Carlsberg Academy.
The scholarships – “For Women in Science” – are awarded annually in a joint effort by L’Oreal Denmark, the Danish National Commission for UNESCO (of which the Princess is patron) and the Royal Danish Academy of Science. The aim of the scholarships is to “create a better balance between women and men in the research world” to create a better environment to improve research outcomes.
Princess Marie presented the scholarships – which consists of a grant of 100,000DKK – to researchers Leticia Hosta Rigau, Dorthe Bomholdt Ravnsbæk and Line Vej Ugelvig.
The Princess went for a business-style look, wearing a purple, black and white patterned dress underneath a black blazer. She also debuted a new, shorted bob hairstyle.
