Baby Cambridge Makes Her Public Debut
The newest addition to the Cambridge family has made her first public appearance, as she left hospital with her parents this evening.
William, Catherine and their newborn daughter appeared on the steps outside the Lindo Wing’s main entrance to greet the waiting media before retreating back into the building. The Duchess – who gave birth at 8:34 this morning, local time – looked in high spirits, wearing a bespoke white shift dress with a yellow floral print by Jenny Packham.
Soon after, the trio reemerged to depart for Kensington Palace. Prince William carried his daughter in a baby capsule, having no trouble clipping it into the car this time around. The family is expected to stay at Kensington Palace for a few days before heading to Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
The baby’s name has yet to be announced, with the most popular choices with punters being Charlotte and Alice.
Earlier in the afternoon, big brother Prince George paid a visit to the hospital to meet his new sister. From the safety of his father’s arms, the almost-two year old waved to the cameras after a little prompting. Prince William said that he was “very happy” about the arrival of the baby.
The Duke of Cambridge and his son Prince George arrive at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital to visit the Duchess of Cambridge and the couple’s newborn daughter.
