The Duchess of Cambridge Gives Birth to a Daughter

The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a daughter, Kensington Palace confirmed just now via Twitter.

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am,” the Palace wrote.

The baby weighed 8lbs 3oz (3.7kg).

The infant is the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, whose first son George was born in July 2013. She is fourth in line to the British throne.
