Wessex Family Visit the Ubunye Foundation in South Africa
On April 10, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their two children, Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn, visited the Ubunye Foundation in South Africa.
The Ubunye Foundation is one of the Countess of Wessex’s patronages and is located in Grahamstown. It helps rural families from the Eastern Cape of South Africa become more self-reliant. The foundation was established in 2002.
During the visit, the Countess of Wessex said: “It’s very important for my children to see immediately from the moment that they come to South Africa that it’s not just about the wonderful, beautiful animals and beautiful scenery.
That there is a huge need to support, protect and nurture the communities that live around and within these beautiful surroundings”.
