Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu of Romania have had a chocolate range named after them by one of the official suppliers to the Royal House.

Three new lines of chocolate – ‘HRH Princess Margarita’, ‘HRH Prince Radu’ and ‘Peles Castle’ – were launched during a presentation at the Elisabeta Palace today. They have been produced by the company Kandia Dulce, forming the ‘Kandia Regal’ range, and each have a different cocoa content.

Princess Margarita delivered a speech at the presentation, recalling how the Romanian Royal Family has encouraged the production of chocolate domestically for over a century. “Each generation, starting with King Carol I and Queen Elisabeta, have had their names bound in chocolate. There was even a ‘Queen Maria’ chocolate factory founded in 1919,” she said.

Music performances by two participants in the ‘Young Talents’ program arranged by the Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation were heard during the event.
