The Prince, who this week announced he would be leaving the army in June, was in attendance for the official launch of the charity’s ‘Walk of Britain’ at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. He said during his speech that he was “delighted” and “hugely looking forward” to participating in the trek, which will see a team of wounded veterans trek 1,000 miles from Scotland to London.

“Walk of Britain will cover all parts of the country. Walking through the communities in which our service personnel and veterans grew up and now live. {It} will give everyone the opportunity to meet these remarkable men and women,” Harry said of the trek.

Prince Harry has been involved with the charity for a number of years, and has taken part in two of their previous expeditions: one each to the North and South Poles.
