King and Queen of Jordan Visit Morocco
King Abdullah II and Queen Rania made an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on the invitation of Mohammed VI between March 10-13.
On March 10, Their Majesties were received at the airport by King Mohammed VI, Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Salma. One day later, Jordan’s King and Queen were welcomed in a ceremony at the Royal Palace in Casablanca.
That night the Moroccan King offered an official dinner in honour of King Abdullah. King Abdullah and Queen Rania were accompanied by Prince El Hassan, Princess Sarvath, Prince Rachid, Princess Zeina Al Rachid and Prince Ali bin Al Hussein.
The Kings held talks on means to cement ties between Jordan and Morocco in various domains. They stressed commitment to advancing pan-Arab solidarity and realizing stability in various Arab countries. King Abdullah II also had a meeting with Moroccan Prime Minister, Abdullah bin Kieran, and Speaker of Parliament, Rachid Alami.
Since his enthronement in June 1999, this is the fourth official visit of King Abdullah II to Morocco.
