Swedish Royals Attend Skiing Championships In Falun
Today, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Estelle, Prince Carl Philip and his fiancée Sofia Hellqvist attended the World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden. Prince Daniel was not present as he was suffering from a cold.
On Wednesday, the Royal Family attended the opening ceremony of the skiing championships. In total, fifty-five countries participated and a march was held at the opening ceremony for all the countries who were taking part.
During an interview with the press on Thursday, King Carl Gustaf said that his granddaughter Estelle was hoping to get some pancakes from the cafeteria.
He also commented that he thought it was fun to meet all the volunteers, who came from thirty different countries from across the globe, to which Queen Silvia said, “It is an achievement of all those who have made their way here, even if you do not get any medals.” Sofia Hellqvist said that she likes skiing, and also that it’s getting closer and closer to her wedding with Prince Carl Philip.
On Thursday the Royal Family also attended an event at a volunteer center, where they met several of the volunteers.
