Jordanian King & Queen Meet Visiting Czech President
Jordanian King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah welcomed Czech President Milos Zeman and his wife at the Royal Palace in Amman, Jordan.
During the meeting, King Abdullah and the Czech President talked about developing relations and ways to support cooperation in political and economic fields between the two countries.
His Majesty said: “Our meeting today, and the Jordanian Czech Economic Business Forum, held yesterday, the memoranda of understanding that were signed, all these represent the steps that will bring together our two countries. Many of us see the challenges facing Jordan and the region, and that the relationship with your country and with Europe will enable us to address these challenges and overcome them with (a sense of) unity.”
After the meeting, King Abdullah II decorated the Czech President with the Order of al-Hussein bin Ali. President Milos received the order on the occasion of his first visit to the Kingdom. The Czech President also decorated His Majesty the King with the Order of the White Lion, the highest honor granted by the Czech Republic and awarded for the first time in the history of the Czech Republic to a world leader.
