Two Christenings Within the Non-Reigning Royalty of Europe
Last week, the christenings of Princess Katharina of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and Princess Athénaïs de Ligne de la Trémoïlle took place.
Little Princess Katharina was born on 30 April 2014 to Prince Hubertus and Princess Kelly of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. She was christened on 20 September 2014 and her godparents are Hereditary Prince Ernst-August of Hanover, Prince Konstantin of Bulgaria, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (Victoria’s sister Madeleine is a goddaughter of Princess Katharina’s grandfather, Prince Andreas), Duchess Elisabeth in Bavaria and Countess Katharina of Faber-Castell.
Princess Athénaïs was born on 9 May 2014 to Prince Edouard de Ligne de la Trémoïlle and his wife, Princess Isabella (née Isabella Orsini). She was christened on 15 September 2014 and her godparents are Alexandra Lanvin and Prince Lelio Orsini of Aragona.
