Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland celebrated his forty first birthday on September 15.
Olof Daniel Westling was born on 15 September 1973 and is the son of Ole and Ewa Westling. He was born on the same day as his future father-in-law, King Carl XVI Gustaf, took the throne.
Prince Daniel met Crown Princess Victoria firstly in 2001 whilst he was working as her personal trainer. They were married on 19 June 2010 in Stockholm and they have a daughter, Princess Estelle, who was born in 2012.
