Swedish Royals Celebrate Victoriadagen

The Swedish Royal Family celebrated Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday by attending the annual Victoriadagen (Victoria Day) celebrations in Borgholm on July 14. Sofia Hellqvist, who is newly engaged to Prince Carl Philip, also attended the evening concert.

Crown Princess Victoria was born on 14 July 1977 at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. She is the eldest child and daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia. She has two siblings, Prince Carl Philip (born in 1979) and Princess Madeleine (born in 1982). She was christened on 27 September 1977 at the Storkyrkan in Stockholm. Her godparents were Harald V of Norway, Ralf Sommerlath, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands and Princess Désirée, Baroness Silfverschiöld.

On 19 June 2010, Crown Princess Victoria married Daniel Westling at the Storkyrkan in Stockholm, Sweden. On 23 February 2012, their first child, Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland was born.
