Princess Haya Donates To Refugees
The wife of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, as UN Messenger of Peace and Chairperson of the International Humanitarian City (IHC) has made a generous donation to support the UN High Commissioner for Refugees’ efforts in emergency nutrition and food security for South Sudanese refugees in Ethiopia’s Gambella region.
Princess Haya donated $500,000 (Dh1.83 million).
Princess Haya said, “South Sudan is faced with one of the worst famines in decades. What is most distressing is that while conflict is the main reason for this flight of refugees, many are arriving hungry and already severely malnourished.”
