The Emir of Qatar’s Official Visit to France
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has visited the French capital Paris for a two-day official visit.
On the first day of the visit, the Emir met with French President François Hollande. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. They also talked about the latest developments in the region. The French President held a banquet in the honor of the Emir and his delegation.
On the second day of the visit, the Emir also held talks with the President of the National Assembly of France, Claude Bartolone, and met with a number of groups at the Assembly’s headquarters in Paris. After the meeting, a luncheon banquet the French National Assembly’s president hosted in his honor with the delegation.
The meetings continued, and later that day, the Emir met the Mayor of Paris City Anne Hidalgo, at the Council of Paris.
