Princess Leonore Arrives in Stockholm for Christening
Three month old Princess Leonore has arrived in Sweden for the first time today, landing at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with her parents, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill, early this morning, local time.
The family were spotted yesterday departing from Newark Liberty International Airport on an overnight Scandinavian Airlines flight, after packing two town cars full of luggage outside their home. Princess Leonore was kept in a carry cot for her time in both airports, although Princess Madeleine showed her off upon arrival at Arlanda to the royal court staff there to collect them.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia were spotted around eight this morning driving into the Royal Mews, where Princess Madeleine has apartments, to greet their daughter and granddaughter.
The young family is expected to spend the summer in Sweden, after the infant Princess’s christening on June 8. Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill will participate in National Day celebrations on June 6, opening the palace doors to visitors.
