Felipe and Letizia’s 10th Wedding Anniversary
The Prince and Princess of Asturias celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary on May 22nd.
The heir apparent to the Spanish throne married former journalist Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano in a lavish ceremony at the Cathedral Santa María la Real de la Almudena in Madrid, which was attended by the entire Spanish Royal Family and a host of other foreign royal guests in 2004. The couple currently have two daughters, Infantas Leonor and Sofia.
As with most Spanish royal milestones, there were no public celebrations to mark wedding anniversary, however the couple did pose with their daughters earlier yesterday morning for a few photos. They were later posted to the ‘Casa Real’ and the new Spanish Royal Twitter account.
Later that day, both the Prince and Princess paid a visit to the city of Toledo to visit the exhibition The Greek of Toledo at the Museum of Santa Cruz. The relaxed royal couple posed for photos and went about on a royal walkabout to greet the crowds assembled outside the museum.
