Te Deum for Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland
A Te Deum for Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland was held on 2 March at the Royal Chapel of the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Princess Leonore is the daughter of Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland and her husband, Christopher O’Neill.
Those who attended the Te Deum were: King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Sofia Hellqvist (Prince Carl Philip’s partner), Countess Marianne Bernadotte, Bertil Bernadotte (the son of Count Folke Bernadotte) and Patrick and Maline Sommerlath, Queen Silvia’s relatives. Approximately 200-300 invitations were sent to members, relatives and friends of the Royal Family.
Leonore’s Te Deum was smaller than her cousin Estelle’s, since Leonore is fifth in line to the Swedish Throne, whereas Estelle is the future Queen.
Madeleine and Chris were unable to attend the Te Deum as they are staying in New York with Leonore.
