It’s A Girl for Jaime and Viktória of Bourbon-Parma

On 21 February at 12:40 in the Our Lady Hospital in Amsterdam, Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma gave birth to her first child, a girl, named Zita Clara. Her title is Her Royal Highness Princess Zita of Bourbon-Parma.

She was named in honour of Empress Zita, her paternal great-great aunt, and her maternal great-great grandmother, Klára Killerman. She is the fifth grandchild of Princess Irene of the Netherlands, a sister to the former Queen Beatrix.

Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma, Count of Bardi, was born on 13 October 1972 in Nijmegan, the Netherlands. He is the younger son and third eldest child of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and her late husband, Carlos Hugo, Duke of Parma. He has a twin sister, Margarita, who was born one minute earlier than him. He also has an elder brother, Carlos (born in 1970), and a younger sister, Maria Carolina “Carolina” (born in 1974). In 2014, he was appointed as the Dutch ambassador to the Vatican.

Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma, Countess of Bardi (née Viktória Cservenyák) was born in 1982 in Budapest, Hungary. She is the daughter of Dr. Tibor Cservenyák and his former wife, Dorottya Klára Bartos. She grew up in the Netherlands and was an attorney.

Jaime and Viktória became engaged on 12 August 2013 and were married civilly on 3 October 2013 in Wijk bij Duurstede. They were then married religiously on 5 October 2013 at the Church of Our Lady in Apeldoorn.
