It’s a Girl for Archduke Imre and Archduchess Kathleen

Archduke Imre and Archduchess Kathleen of Austria welcomed their first child, a girl, on November 11, 2013. The little Archduchess’s full name is Maria Stella.

Archduke Imre was born on December 8, 1985 and is the eldest son and second eldest child of Archduke Carl Christian of Austria (himself the son of Archduke Carl Ludwig of Austria and Princess Yolande of Ligne) and his wife, Archduchess Marie Astrid of Austria, née Princess Marie Astrid of Luxembourg (she is the daughter of Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg). His full name is Imre Emanuel Simeon Jean Carl Marcus d’Aviano and he has four siblings; Archduchess Marie-Cristine (who married Count Rodolphe of Limburg-Stirum and they have two children, Count Léopold and Count Constantin), Archduke Cristoph (who married Adélaïde Drapé-Frisch), Archduke Alexander and Archduchess Gabriella.

Archduchess Kathleen “Katie”, née Walker, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1986. Her full name is Kathleen Elizabeth. She met Archduke Imre at a church in 2010 near where Kathleen lived and in December the following year, the couple announced their engagement.

They were married on September 8, 2012 at the St Mary Mother of God Church in Washington D.C., USA.
