Joint Coat of Arms For William & Catherine Revealed

It has been revealed today the joint coat of arms for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Conjugal Coat of Arms was approved this year by HM The Queen earlier this year but it was not shown to the public till today.

The coat of arms was designed by The College of Arms in London. The Conjugal Arms show the the separate shields of a royal husband and wife side by side.

Prince William received his coat of arms on his 18th birthday. Catherine’s shield was granted to her after her marriage to Prince William.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said, “The Conjugal Arms will be theirs forever, however as their circumstances and roles alter, elements of the accoutrements around the shields may change. In addition to their Conjugal Arms, Their Royal Highnesses also retain their own Coats of Arms to represent themselves as individuals.”
