Prince Félix and Claire Lademacher Civilly Wed

Luxembourg’s Prince Félix today married his German-born fiancée, Claire Lademacher, in a civil ceremony in the bride’s hometown.

Taking place at the Villa Rotschild in Königstein im Taunus, a town in the state of Hesse, the civil ceremony began at 12:30pm. Prior to this, the bridal couple and their immediate families arrived at the hotel and posed for photographers.

The Lademacher family – Hartmut, Gabriele and Felix – arrived first, followed by Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. Prince Félix’s siblings – Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sebastien – arrived next, joined by their spouses (Stéphanie and Tessy) and children (Gabriel and Noah).

Félix and Claire arrived last, the bride looking stunning in a knee-length, cap-sleeve white Jan Taminiau dress with a peplum waist.

Photographs of the civil ceremony were released by the Grand Ducal Court following the ceremony, showing two close-knit families celebrating the union of their children. After the ceremony was complete, the newly-married pair and their families posed for photographs in the garden of the Villa, despite the few raindrops which came their way.

Prince Félix and the now-legally Princess Claire will marry in a religious ceremony on September 21st in the south of France.
