The Three Danish Sisters At Gråsten (Plus the Kids)
For the first time in several years, all three Danish sisters were present for the traditional Gråsten Palace photo session in Denmark today.
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and former Queen Anne-Marie of Greece posed for photographs with the elder two sisters’ children and grandchildren. Present were Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim of Denmark with their wives and eight children, Hereditary Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and his partner, and Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg with her husband and two children.
With ten children present, there was much entertainment for the photographers: Prince Christian and Princess Isabella pulling their twin siblings in a red and white cart, Princess Josephine refusing to relinquish the swing set to anyone else, Prince Nikolai pointing things of interest out to nineteen-month-old Princess Athena.
Meanwhile, the three sisters sat nearby on a wooden bench, before heading back to the palace.
