Photo Session in Wassenaar

The King and Queen of the Netherlands yesterday posed for their annual summer photo session at their home in Wassenaar.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima were joined by their three daughters – Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane – in the gardens of Villa Eikenhorst on the estate of De Horsten for the quick photo op. For the first time, the family’s pet dog, Skipper, was also present.

Unlike in previous years, there was no opportunity given for the press to speak with the royal couple briefly. However, it was reported that the family will spend about five weeks over the summer at their new holiday home in Greece.

The King and Queen will also be attending the birthday celebrations of Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon later today.
