35th Wedding Anniversary of Prince & Princess Michael of Kent

Prince and Princess Michael of Kent celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary on June 30th.
Prince Michael of Kent, who is a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, married the Austrian-Hungarian Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz in a civil ceremony in Vienna, Austria. Marie Christine, a Roman Catholic, was previously married but that marriage was formally annulled by the Roman Catholic Church in May 1978.
Upon her marriage to Prince Michael of Kent, Marie Christine assumed the style and title of Princess Michael of Kent and not Princess Marie Christine, as she is not was not born a Princess. Later, Prince and Princess Michael were also married in a Roman Catholic ceremony on the 29th of June 1983, at the Archbishop’s House in London.
The royal couple, who reside at an apartment at Kensington Palace, have two children: Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor. Prince and Princess Michael of Kent attend most major British royal events and are popular figures at sporting events in the UK such as Royal Ascot and Wimbledon.
