Crown Prince Of Japan’s Official Visit To Spain

His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan paid a week long official visit to the Kingdom of Spain from June 10th to the 17th. The Crown Prince was invited by the the invitation of the Spanish Government to mark the 400th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Spain and Japan.

The Crown Prince was received and welcomed by the Prince of Asturias on Monday June 10th at a ceremony at the El Pardo Palace in Madrid. The following day, Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan was greeted by King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia at the Palace of Zarzuela and attended a luncheon in his honour. The lunch was also attended by the Prince and Princess of Asturias and Infanta Elena, Duchess of Lugo.

On Wednesday, the Crown Prince paid a visit to the Spanish Prime Minister and later attended a gala dinner at the Palacio Real in Madrid which was hosted by the Prince and Princess of Asturias. The Crown Prince also paid visits to Salamanca, Seville and the historic Santiago de Compostela.
