Infanta Alicia Turned 95

On November 13th, Infanta Alicia, Dowager Duchess of Calabria and Countess of Caserta celebrated her 95th birthday. A maternal aunt-in-law of King Juan Carlos, Infanta Alicia is the oldest member of the extended Spanish Royal Family.

Born Princess Alicia of Princess of Bourbon-Parma in Vienna in 1917, she was the daughter of Prince Elio of Bourbon-Parma and Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria. In April 1936, she married Infante Alfonso de Borbón-Dos Sicilias y Borbón, who was a half brother of the late Countess of Barcelona and mother to the King.

Her eldest son is Infante Carlos of Spain, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta and Knight of the Golden Fleece.
