Baby Girl for Prince Hamzah & Princess Basmah

His Royal Highness Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein of Jordan and his second wife, Princess Basmah, welcomed this past Saturday a baby girl, named Zein.

The newly-born Princess shares her name with her aunt, Princess Zein bint Al Hussein, and her late great-grandmother, Queen Zein Al Sharaf of Jordan. She has an elder half-sister, Princess Haya, from her father’s first marriage to Princess Noor bint Asem.

Prince Hamzah, 32, is the eldest child of the late King Hussein and Queen Noor. He was the Crown Prince of Jordan for five years (1999-2004), and currently serves in the Jordanian Armed Forces.

The Prince married his Canadian-born, former pilot wife Basmah Bani Ahmad in Amman last January.
