Happy Name Day, Estelle!
Today, August 15th, is the name day of Princess Estelle of Sweden.
To celebrate the infant’s first name day, the Swedish Royal Court published a new photograph of Estelle with her parents, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. The image was taken at Haga Palace by Kate Gabor, the photographer who took the first official photographs of the Crown Princess Family.
Each day of the year, except for six (seven in leap years), is a designated name day in Sweden. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Prince Carl Philip’s name day (Karl) is January 28th; Queen Silvia’s is August 8th; Crown Princess Victoria’s March 12th (and is the most celebrated by the Royal Family); Prince Danie’s December 11th; and Princess Madeleine’s July 22nd.
Princess Estelle was born on February 23rd, and is Victoria and Daniel’s first child. She was christened on May 22nd.
