Queen Sofia attends “India en Concierto”

Madrid – June 19th, 2012

Her Majesty the Queen attended the “India en Concierto” concert at the Caxia Forum in Madrid on Tuesday June 19th. Her Majesty was accompanied by her younger sister, Her Royal Highness Princess Irene of Greece, the Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism, Elizabeth Borrego, and the Indian Ambassador to Spain.

The concert was organised by the Indian Embassy in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Obra Social “la Caixa” and Casa de la India.

It consisted of Hindustani music performances from Northern India and ran from June 19th until June 21st at the Caxia Forum in Madrid. India en Concierto moves onto Valladolid and Granada next.

Queen Sofia and Princess Irene attended the opening night in Madrid.
