Prints Rule Danish Royal Garden Party
It was the first time for Denmark’s Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik to host a garden party at Fredensborg Castle, last week on June 19.
The Danish garden party was not quite what many expected or are used too; one would think hats, formal outfits but this was a more laid-back one. Some thought that since it was a garden party, the royals should’ve have worn hats and plain outfits.
Apparently, the reason for such casual looks for the royal ladies and the guests was that the dress code was casual summery outfits.
Looking at pictures, one could think the dress code for the royal ladies was print only. Queen Margrethe, Princess Benedikte and Princess Marie stepped out in flowery summer dresses, Queen Margrethe also managed to wear a flower in her hair, I wonder if she picked that from the flowers in the castle gardens see here.
Crown Princess Mary stepped out in a creamy dress with a green print by Fendi see here.
